A somatic, relational & nervous system approach to healing and moving through the impacts of Complex Trauma.

With a gentle and evidence-based approach, Devin creates a therapeutic space that feels authentic, safe, and grounded in genuine connection.

You might notice that your emotions and body sensations feel overwhelming.
They shape how you see yourself, how safe you feel with others, and whether you can move through the world with ease.

This all makes sense in the face of complex trauma.

In our 1:1 sessions, we gently support your nervous system to find flexibility again through a relational process that allows you to experience connection and safety differently. Together we work with practical, evidence-based approaches for complex trauma—helping you regulate intense emotions, recondition survival patterns, and reconnect with a more authentic sense of self.

A space that honours both your story and nervous system.

You may have found your way here because a part of you is seeking healing, clarity, or a different way of relating to yourself and others. Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and it often is. It can also be the beginning of something deeply transformative.

Hi, I’m Devin Brooks (they/them, Queer). I’m an Integrative Complex Trauma Therapist. My work is both professional and personal—I know the landscape of survival mode and the weight of living with complex trauma. That lived experience, alongside years of specialised training, shapes the way I sit with people today.

Many people discover that traditional talk therapy doesn’t always reach the places trauma lives. Complex trauma leaves its imprint not only in the mind, but also in the body and nervous system. It shows up in how we feel, how we connect, and how safe we believe we can be.

We can’t simply “think” our way out of these imprints. Healing asks us to reconnect with the body—listening to sensations, emotions, and patterns of protection, and slowly creating space for new experiences of safety and connection. Over time, this process reshapes the nervous system’s pathways, allowing for greater regulation, resilience, and authenticity.

This way of working has transformed my own life, and it’s the foundation of what I now offer to others: a space to be with all parts of yourself, with compassion, understanding, and the possibility of change.

What people are looking for in therapy:

I often hear from new clients that they want therapy to feel relaxed, genuine, and effective—not clinical or detached.

They want to:

  • Feel more in touch with their emotions and body, instead of being controlled by them.

  • Reclaim a sense of safety and connection—both with themselves and in their relationships.

  • Learn how to create healthier ways of relating, with others and within.

  • See the world not only through the lens of fear, but as a place where opportunities and ease can exist.

  • Build tools and resources that support nervous system regulation and help release what has been held in the body for too long.

This is the foundation of my work. Together, in specialised 1:1 sessions for complex trauma, we gently recondition the nervous system, explore body-based tools for regulation, and create pathways back to a more connected and authentic self—within yourself, and in relationship with others.

Frequently asked questions

You’ve got questions? Allow me to answer them.

How do we meet for sessions?

Sessions are facilitated via Zoom video call. A link is sent prior to each session. Have your time in therapy within the comfort of your own home or a space that feels safe for you.

How do I pay you?

Payment is made via online bank transfer. Using your own currency which costs you no fees. I use an online international bank account which makes transfers easy and cost effective. My international bank details match those in your location. Easy!

How frequently should I attend sessions?

With trauma healing, consistency and frequency is best. Weekly is recommended. Fortnightly can be potentially arranged upon individual request.

When do I start to notice results?

Everyone and their nervous system is unique. People can start to notice changes and growth of awareness within 3 to 5 sessions. But of course, everyone is different and unique in this regard and results reflect this.

Do you work with people in different locations?

Absolutely. The beauty of online therapy is that anyone, anywhere can access support. I work with people all over the world. We find a time that works best for us both. I love meeting with people in other locations, cultures and contexts.

What does a typical session look like?

Sessions go at your pace and there is no right way to experience a successful therapy session. Sessions involve talking together to process aspects of trauma that impact us as well as exploring somatic body-based practices to support a traumatised nervous system. These practices may involve movement, breath work, body rhythm, voice work, touch, etc. We do these practices together and talk about our experiences as well as how you may positively integrate them to resource yourself and your life.

What is an Integrative Trauma Therapist?

An Integrative Trauma Therapist is a qualified practitioner who has trained and gained expertise in various modalities and approaches. They then combine and utilise these approaches to best meet the needs of the individual accessing therapy.
I have significant training in clinical music therapy, somatic trauma therapy, arts-based approaches, trauma informed play therapy, large scale trauma response, & talk-based psychotherapy.

How is this approach different to others?

Current research suggests that trauma impacts our nervous system and more primitive areas of the brain and functioning. Therefore, we can't talk or think our way out of the symptoms of trauma. Body-based approaches are an effective and proven way to manage, move through and heal from the impacts of trauma.

What days and times are you available?

My working week is Wednesday to Saturday. Sessions are made available during the day from morning through to early evening. This allows access for people from different locations and with varying schedules.

Do you work with couples or just individuals?

I currently work with only individuals.

Are you LGBTQIA+ inclusive?

I am a visibly queer and gender queer person and therapist. This means that I strive towards a therapy practice that is inclusive, respectful and empowering to our LGBTQIA+ communities and allies.

What are the session rates?

The investment for 1:1 specialised sessions in complex trauma healing with Devin Brooks is currently 160 Euro equiv.

They do not take insurance policies, however individuals are able to compensate for or use funds as they see fit, however this is not the responsibility of the therapist help provide this or to adhere to any external policies.
